Protection from suicide

If I or someone I know is in danger of committing suicide, I know where to go to stop it from happening. I can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK(8255). They can give me advice with stopping the suicide. They can also help me make better decisions and tell me how to solve my problems another way. I can also get help from the Suicide Awareness Voices of Education or SAVE. Volunteers from SAVE will come and teach me the bad things suicide does. I can learn how to find a way to avoid depression and if I get depressed, how to cure it. Anyone can go to these people too. They will do their best to make sure that they help the person at risk and save a life.

  1. I'm glad that you have an understanding of the people and organizations that can help in a serious, life-threatening situation like suicide.
