They've seen people in movies do it and they're famous. It's kind of like people want to be noticed. Whats a better way to get noticed that smoke? When you see a cloud of smoke you start wondering where it came from and why. So in some way it's like they're trying to get attention.

ReplyDeleteBoth are very excellent points to a good question. Sometimes people who smoke need that extra sensory stimulation too and can't find another way to do that.
